My eyes - The Lumineers

 Hi! Today I'm taking about one of my favorite music groups and one of my favorite songs of them and what this song means to me. I'm talking about The Lumineers, and the song in my eyes, this song is a very special song to me because it reminds me one of my favorite series which is Reign. Reign is about the love of Mary Stuardo Queen of Scots and Francis Dauphin of France. This one was one of my favorite series when I was growing up when I was in my first year of high school, it think when I was 13, 14 and 15 years old I saw this serie a lot of times. Even tho is far from reality because, they don't have like the love story the series portrait but I really like them tho. And this song in my eyes is one of the soundtracks for this series. The Lumineers actually record a lot of the songs for this series, Reign, and it became one of my favorites group because I get really attached to it. This particular song In My Eyes reminded me especially about Mary and Francis because of the lyrics of the song, they said: "What did you do with my eyes, what did you sign to that lonely child" first of all it reminds me of they youth together because they grow together and they were engaged when they were six and seven years old, Francis being six years old and Mary being seven years old so, that's a fact actually and it was both in the series. So she got away to a nun school because of protection for the crown, but she was a teenager, the story in the series, because in real life was very different, but when he was much older, she move to France and, like, grew up in the castle with Francis and that line reminds me a lot of both of them you know, as a kids having a great time together because they have a relationship like a brother and sister and were very tight and then the lyrics said: "Promised it all but you lied, you better slow down baby, it's all or nothing to you" because I think in the series like they manage to do it a whole lot different perspective, in the case of Mary, because he was like Francis was like a vefi retracted man, towards Mary, he was in a long term relationship when she arrived at the castle and she was thinking about them getting married, but as the time goes by it have a lot of changes and different plans, we'll part from Mary and par from Francis, so, it was very difficult, so this part of the lyrics reminded me that Mary have this urge to be loved, she wanted all of Francis or nothing at all. If he can't give her something special, she didn't want it, so in the part of the lies I think I it intertwined in the part of Francis telling her they were going to get married, that the plan still the same as it always been, that they were engaged since they were little kids but the problem in that is: Because the marrige and the relationship it self has so much difficulties and so much treats it was very difficult for them to get together but when they get together I was so difficult because the Dauphin of France, now king of France was killed. So the part of the lies and promised all, I think about it, it think of the song like Mary to Francis when they finally get together, they finally got married and they were really happy, the happiest they have ever been, it all was just like that, just it was over, not because Francis wanted it because he was killed but because I think they spect so much and just get so little, so yes, obviously the song has more lyrics to it and more, more to explain, but that's the principal idea I get to listening to the song and remember the series and it pretty much still the same feeling of bittersweetness about her and his love and I really like that about it.
